π Pet Training Events & Growth
βΉοΈ Corrected page (2026-07-19). An earlier version of this page claimed training
types gave "stat growth" and recommended them per class (Warrior/Mage/Tank). That
interpretation was not backed by the game files and was wrong β thanks to the
players who called it out. Everything below comes straight from the client files
(
petaspect.xml, str_petaspect.xml, pet.xml),
cross-checked against the community evolution charts on angels.wikidot.com.
How training actually works (from the files):
- While leveling, your pet shows training events β a little scene with
3 possible responses. Which events you see depends on your pet's line: each line
is assigned one of the 12 event tables below (
εζι‘ε₯葨inpet.xml). - Each response carries a hidden value from β3 to +3 (shown next to each answer below). negative = strict/harsh responses, positive = gentle/affectionate responses. These accumulate into your pet's hidden growth value (ζ’δ»Άζι·εΌ).
- At each evolution, forms with two possible next stages branch on that value: the strict branch (mean β) requires it low/negative, the gentle branch (nice β€) high/positive. Branch thresholds in the files range from β15 to +10 and get stricter the deeper you go down one side (e.g. Shadow line: Egg β3 β Stage 1 β6 β Stage 2 β10 for the pure-mean path).
- What each branch becomes varies per egg line β the combat type (Attack, Magic, Support, Universalβ¦) of every form is its own value in the files. Check your line's tree in the Pet Evolution & Fusion guide. Training does not add flat stats by itself β it steers which form (and that form's stat table) you end up with.
- The exact server-side check (thresholds, timing) can't be read from the client; branch direction was verified against community charts (Shadow and Bear lines: 100% match).
