What is the production system?

Angels Online organizes item creation into six production skills — Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Tailor, Cook, Technician and Assassin. Every recipe in the client data converts a fixed list of ingredient items, each with a required quantity, into one output item (usually 1, sometimes a batch). Each recipe is gated behind a minimum level in its production skill (skill_level in the data), separate from your character's combat level.

This page explains the system and highlights real, representative recipes. For the full filterable list of all 3,728 recipes with exact ingredients, success chance and craft time, use the Crafting database.

🛠️ Recipes by profession

Counted directly from the 3,728 recipes in the current dataset. Every profession's recipes span skill level 1 up to 395, except Assassin, which has only 3 recipes total, all at skill level 1.

📊 What the data actually shows about crafting mechanics
  • Success rate is not a meaningful variable for 5 of the 6 professions. 3,725 of 3,728 recipes (99.9%) have a recorded success_rate of exactly 100%. The only exceptions are the 3 Assassin recipes, all fixed at 70% — see the callout below.
  • Craft time only takes 3 values across the entire dataset: 5 seconds (3,106 recipes), 3 seconds (621 recipes), and a single recipe at 1 second. There is no per-recipe scaling by ingredient count or output level in this field.
  • Most recipes use 2–3 ingredients. Distribution across all 3,728 recipes: 1 ingredient (728), 2 ingredients (1,289), 3 ingredients (1,100), 4 ingredients (610), and exactly one recipe with 5 ingredients (see "Most complex recipe" below).
  • Most recipes output exactly 1 item (3,176 of 3,728). The rest output fixed batches — most commonly 76 units (84 recipes), then 60 units (28 recipes) and 24 units (19 recipes); the 16, 20, 28, 32, 36 and 40-unit batch sizes each appear on exactly 14 recipes.

👑 Example: the top-level upgrade pattern (skill level 395)

Every recipe at the current maximum skill level (395) in Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Tailor and Technician follows the same shape: 20× a "Quality" version of the equipment piece, plus 10× a tier-391 refinement material, to produce the next-grade item. Four confirmed examples, one per profession:

💰 Example: the largest single ingredient requirement in the game

Across all 3,728 recipes, the single largest quantity of one ingredient required by any recipe is 1,400 — it appears on four different recipes (one each in Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Tailor and Technician). This is the Armorsmith one:

⚠️ The Assassin outlier — the only recipes that can fail

The skill field lists Assassin as a production skill, but it only has 3 recipes total in the entire dataset — and they are the only 3 recipes in the game with a success rate below 100%, fixed at 70%. All three share the same first ingredient:

Not verified — pending confirmation in-game

  • What happens when a 70% Assassin recipe fails (whether ingredients are lost entirely or partially refunded) is not recorded in the client data — needs a live test.
  • How each recipe is originally learned/unlocked (drop, vendor, quest reward, or automatic at the skill level shown) is not part of this dataset.
  • Whether craft_time (1/3/5 seconds) is the actual wait time in-client or an internal server value is unconfirmed — it has not been timed against a stopwatch.
  • Whether crafting is possible from anywhere or requires a specific NPC/workbench per profession is not captured in this data.
